How Much Does It Cost?
Due to the uniqueness of each recovery procedure we can only provide quotations after an evaluation is done. The evaluation is free. You can bring the drive to our Agent or you can utilize our Shipping Service and have it picked up for a nominal fee or Free once you Approve the Estimate. Once we’ve received your media, one of our recovery engineers will carry out an evaluation of your drive and send you the results via phone or email.
How do I submit a drive for recovery?
Click Here to Submit a case online, this tells us about you and your drive, making sure to include your email and phone number. Carefully package the drive and ship it to us along with your ticket number, Decide on the form how you want your data returned to you also please be sure to read our Terms and Agreement on the second page. Note that a completed and signed Work Order must be submitted with the drive or faxed to us before work can proceed.
What about the security of my data???
Revoco Limited cares about the security of your data and takes appropriate measures to protect it. We do not share your data with anyone except for our technical staff on a need-to-know basis. We keep a copy or image of your data for a brief interval after recovery typically 72 hours to ensure that you receive it successfully. After that interval, the image is securely erased. Revoco Limited offers a Non-Disclosure Agreement for clients who are especially concerned about the security of their data. If this applies to you, please click here to view our Agreement.
What about partial recovery?
Data recovery is often a salvage process, which involves scavenging for available data. For example, if a crashed head has physically damaged the media platters, no one can recover information from the damaged areas. Often, recovering 40% of a drive takes considerably more effort than recovering 100%, depending upon the nature of the failure. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the quality or quantity of data recovered, because good data may not exist on the drive.
What can you recover data from?
We can recover data from Hard Drives, Flash Drives, Memory Cards, RAID sets, SAN and Servers etc. Please click here here for more information.
What kind of turnaround time can I expect?
The turnaround time depends upon several factors including:1) the size of the drive.
2) the condition of the drive and the extent of damage.
3) our workload at the time the drive is submitted, and
4) if we need to order parts.
Some drives can be turned around in one day, whereas other drives may take from 14 to 21 days or more. We cannot predict the turn-around time until we have received and evaluated the drive. We will provide an estimate ASAP by email or telephone, upon request. Click here to take a look at our Service options.
What is a clean room?
A cleanroom is an environment that has a low level of environmental pollutants such as dust, airborne microbes, aerosol particles and chemical vapours, in a simpler form a clean room has a controlled level of contamination in the air If your drive is opened by an inexperienced technician outside of a clean environment, small airborne particles can end up inside the drive, risking contamination. Should any of that contamination find its way into that extremely tiny gap, the heads could collide with the platters, scratching them and rendering your drive irreversibly damaged.
What if you cannot recover my data?
We will give you a summary of the diagnosed failure and return the drive to you. You only pay for the return costs, unless there are other charges.
What should I do if my hard drive is clicking, grinding, or not spinning?
The more you power on the dive you risk losing your data and damaging the drive we suggest that you immediately power off the computer or hard drive to prevent further damage. Contact us immediately at 1-868-221-HELP or 1-868-686-3090 for a FREE consultation. In most cases we can successfully recover data from hard drives that has experienced logical or physical failure/damage.
How do I know my files have been successfully recovered?
At Revoco we employ a three (3) phase data testing procedure during the Data Recovery process our equipment validates the sectors physically then it validates the data logically, the information at this stage of the validation is on the lowest level, the 1's and 0's.Once that Stage s completed the final stage is using our flagship software designed specially for data recovery companies all over the world.
The purpose of this software is to automatically test the final quality of files after data recovery.
This is achieved by comparing the header contents of each file against a extensively large database of known content. Once the entire drive is tested a file listing is created in a readable HTML file format. This file can be viewed in your web browser on any Operating System (e.g. Mac, Windows, Linux, etc) that supports a modern web browser.
You will then be able to easily browse through the folders and files successfully recovered, view the contents of folders and search for files in a format similar to Windows Explorer See Sample Here .
